R. Michael Smith, P.E. is President of Smith Williams Consultants, Inc. and is a Registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Smith is responsible for daily operations of the company as well as technical management of staff and projects. Prior to taking on the role of President of Smith Williams, Mr. Smith held equity positions at other Civil Engineering design/construction firms specializing in Mining/Minerals, Water Resources, Geotechnical Design and Construction Oversight. Mr. Smith manages the company as he manages his projects using a “hands on” approach. This philosophy allows clients the opportunity to take advantage of his 27 years of multi-disciplinary engineering experience on their projects.

Keith C. Williams, P.E. is the Vice President of Smith Williams Consultants, Inc. and is a Registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Williams has over 15 years of experience both domestically and internationally and is responsible for daily operations of the company as well as management of projects and engineering activities.Mr. Williams began his career with Northern Engineering and Testing in 1985 as a Material Testing Technician and obtained his Civil Engineering Degree from Montana State University in 1990. Prior to founding Smith Williams, Mr. Williams held progressive positions of responsibility culminating with an equity position as Vice President of a large international firm specializing in civil design of mining projects. Mr. Williams founded Smith Williams Consultants, Inc. in 2003 with President R. Michael Smith.

Ronald L. Arlian is Principal for Smith Williams Consultants, Inc. and has over 36 years of experience both domestically and internationally. Mr. Arlian is responsible for management of projects as well as oversight of field and design engineering. Mr. Arlian began his career with the State of Oklahoma Department of Highways in 1970 as an EIT and Project Engineer. He moved to M.W. Kellogg Co. in 1973 and held the positions of Field Engineer, Senior Chief Field Engineer and finally Manager of Technical Services. Since 1987 and prior to joining Smith Williams, Mr. Arlian worked as a Senior Engineer and Principal with a large international consulting firm specializing in civil design of mining projects. His Mining experience spans 5 continents and a multitude of climatic conditions. Mr. Arlian joined Smith Williams Consultants, Inc. in 2003 as a Principal.
